The purpose of this presentation is the need to educate the vascular community with reference to lower extremity venous studies that are usually performed to rule out deep venous thrombosis in a painful leg.
At the completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Identify the non-vascular causes of lower extremity pain in DVT studies.
- Apply optimizing scanning techniques for visualizing and characterizing various pathologies.
- State the emerging role of musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- Recognize other musculoskeletal incidental findings encountered during vascular studies.
