SUMMARY:Transcranial Doppler for Cerebrovascular Disease
DESCRIPTION:Jointly provided by Pacific Vascular\, Swedish CME\, and in collaboration with Swedish Neuroscience Institute\, this program has a nationally recognized faculty with diverse areas of specialization\, a comprehensive and in-depth curriculum with hands-on sessions with patient models utilizing a variety of TCD and TCD Imaging systems. The three-day course is held at at the Swedish Medical Center – Cherry Hill campus in Seattle WA. \nThe program includes the afternoon option of a hands-on scanning track or a case-study physician interpretation track. This TCD course is great preparation and fulfills some of the eligibility requirements for both the Neurovascular Specialist (NVS) Examination and the ASN Neurosonology (RPNI) Examination. \nEndorsed by the American Society of Neuroimaging.

SUMMARY:SVU Live Webinar - Optimizing Doppler and Color: Connecting Practice to Theory
DESCRIPTION:Optimizing Doppler and Color: Connecting Practice to Theory\nWednesday\, June 14 at 7pm EST\nRegistration closes June 13 \nWebinars are offered as a FREE benefit to SVU members\, but prior registration is required. \nCreating optimal Doppler waveforms and color images remains an important and sometimes misunderstood task in vascular ultrasound studies. This presentation will define the characteristics of optimal Doppler/color images and explain the use of the duplex controls and scanning skills to achieve them. \nLearning Objectives:\n1. Describe an optimal PW Doppler waveform and color image.\n2. Use equipment controls appropriately to create optimal Doppler waveforms and color images of blood vessels.\n3. Discuss the effect of poor Doppler and color images on the accuracy of the vascular exam. \nPresenter: Eileen French-Sherry\, MA\, RVT\, FSVU \nTarget Audience: Vascular technologists\, sonographers\, students\, physicians and radiologists \nClick Here to Register \n——- \nCME Credits \nThis webinar has been approved for 1 SVU CME and for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CME CreditTM. The University of Cincinnati is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Cincinnati and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound. \nThe University of Cincinnati is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. \nThe University of Cincinnati designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
