DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to train providers interested in performing vascular ultrasound for the diagnosis of giant cell arteritis/large vessel vasculitis. Hands-on training will be a significant component of this activity\, partnered with expert faculty in the field\, who will discuss and demonstrate how to identify vascular pathological findings. Intermediate to advanced skill in the performance of ultrasound is strongly recommended as a prerequisite to this course.

The three-day course is held at at the Swedish Medical Center – Cherry Hill campus in Seattle WA. \nThe program includes the afternoon option of a hands-on scanning track or a case-study physician interpretation track.
