Please explain your current employment role/responsibilities:
- Advise Vascular Surgeons or referring physician of significant abnormalities that would require their immediate attention and visualization while the patient is undergoing examination.
- Perform a variety of routine and complex vascular examinations such as extremity venous and arterial duplex.
- Additional duplex ultrasound surveillance for Arterial Bypass Graft, Arterio-Venous fistula or graft, Endovascular AVF, Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR), Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) and Venous procedures.
- Perform Arterial Physiologic Study including but not limited to Ankle-Brachial index and Toe-Braquial index.
- Perform training of technicians or technologists for any new Ultrasound or Vascular procedure.
- Participate in training of ultrasound students specifically in vascular field.
What is your previous and current involvement with the SVU? Since I was vascular ultrasound student I have been member of the SVU for my commitment to this profession. I have been Vascular Technologist Registered for two years and I have been educating myself through the SVU educational portal. I have also attended the SVU Annual Conference searching to be better and share the knowledge to other technologists in Puerto Rico.

Since I was a vascular ultrasound student I have been member of SVU. I have a commitment to this profession. In my 20-years being a Vascular Technologist Registered I have been educating myself through the SVU educational portal and have been present in the SVU Annual Conference searching be better and share the knowledge to other technologists in Puerto Rico.
