Brian Sapp, RVT, RPhS, FSVU
Brian Sapp, RVT, RPHS, FSVU currently serves as the President of the SVU (starting in 2026). He joined the SVU Board of Directors in 2022 as a Technologist Director and served as President-Elect from 2023-2025. He was given Fellow status by the SVU in 2024. He has also served as the chair of the SVU eLearning Committee, and as a member of the Professional Guidelines Committee and the Member Outreach Committee for many years.
In 2014, Brian won the D. E. Strandness, MD, Scientific Award for Excellence in Scientific Research for his work on the “Patterns and Distribution of Deep Vein Thrombus in the Lower Extremity.”
Brian Sapp has been performing vascular ultrasounds for over 28 years. He is the president of Registered Vascular Solutions, Inc., an education and ultrasound company where he employs 16 vascular sonographers. He is a Partner and Technical Director at Truffles Vein Specialists, a dedicated vein practice with 5 locations in Atlanta, Georgia. Brian is a paid educational consultant for Philips Healthcare and created and teaches the “Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Vein Disease Course.” He is a paid speaker for Medtronic, and his facility is a Center of Excellence for Medtronic. Brian is the creator of the “Waves, Vascular Conference” and the host of Hey Mufreir Podcast, a medical and lifestyle podcast that covers vascular disease and anything else that catches his attention.”
