The purpose of this presentation is to review carotid disease evaluation with emphasis on the differences.
At the completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the concept of critical stenosis
- Employ the correspondence between increases in Doppler velocity and pressure reduction
- Review the concept of the “vulnerable” plaque and the concept of plaque characterization
