The Educator of the Year Award, newly established (2024), recognizes an individual in the field of vascular technology who stands out for their exceptional dedication, passion for teaching, continuous learning, positive student connections, and the ability to encourage and inspire. Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) membership is not a requirement for this award. The Educator of the Year will receive complimentary registration to the current year’s SVU Annual Conference & Marketplace, as well as complimentary membership for the upcoming membership year.

- Demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication in the classroom, clinical setting or online learning environment.

- Integrating new knowledge and skills acquired through continuous learning into the curriculum to benefit students.
- Connection to Students:
- Establishing a supportive and respectful learning environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.
- Demonstrating empathy and understanding of students’ individual needs, providing guidance and mentorship as they progress in their education.

- Inspiring students to excel and reach their full potential in the field of vascular technology.
- Recognizing and celebrating the achievements and milestones of students, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
