The Society for Vascular Ultrasound Foundation Announces the Recipients of the Anne Jones Educational Scholarship for 2022

LANHAM, MD, JULY 21, 2022 – The SVU Foundation achieves its mission by providing funding for research to advance the profession of vascular ultrasound and vascular ultrasound education and scholarships. This year we are pleased to announce the 2022 SVUF recipients of the Anne Jones Educational Scholarship.

The Anne Jones Educational Scholarship was established in 2005 and was named after Anne Jones, RN, BSN RVT RDMS FSVU in recognition of her leadership as former SVU President (1985-1986), and her commitment to quality education. Annually, the Anne Jones Scholarship Fund provides four qualified students in CAAHEP accredited vascular ultrasound schools with funds toward their education in vascular ultrasound and encourages them to pursue careers in the field.

This year’s recipients are:

• Gabe Folmar (Grand Prize), South Hills School of Business and Technology (State College, PA)
• Raghed Abughanam, Rush University (Chicago, IL)
• Erica Randolph, South Hills School of Business and Technology (State College, PA)
• Taylor Smith, Owens Community College (Wood County, OH)
